As a company policy, InsectHouse does not trade in endangered, rare or otherwise protected insects. We source our supplies from common, abundant insect species from regulated farms, and also our own farm here in Thailand. Your purchase actually aids environmental conservation rather than detracting from it. For example two or three times a year we release 30% of our stock insects back into the forest, far exceeding what was orginally used. This helps repopulate the forest and helps preserve the status quo. In addition it provides a steady income for many of the farmers who, without this job may begin illegal logging again.
